Abstract
A 3D Image encryption scheme based on discrete chaotic is proposed. Firstly, chaotic sequences based on logistic map are generated and preprocessed. Then a 256 grey-scale image is described by a 3D matrix. The 3D matrix can be assumed as made up of M 2D matrices, and each 2D matrix is permuted according to the preprocessed chaotic sequences, these permuted M 2D matrices are mapped back to a 3D matrix subsequently. Afterward, the 3D matrix is considered as composed by N 2D matrices, they are permuted and then mapped back to a 3D matrix similarly. At last, the permuted 3D matrix is transformed to a same sized ciphered image. This image encryption scheme is invertible. Initial conditions and parameters of logistic system are taken as security key. Experimental results show that the image encryption scheme realize permutation and confusion simultaneously, it have large key space, high key sensitivity, good performance of resisting statistical and brute- force attack.
