  • Abstract
This work demonstrates that fuzzy logic computation can be intrinsically reversible, i.e. that no information is necessarily lost when processing fuzzy quantities by means of the most commonly adopted models of conjunction, disjunction and negation. Following what has already been done for Boolean logic, the question of quantifying the information content of fuzzy signals is addressed. Then, two reversible gates are proposed which can be cascaded to obtain any logical expression that can be also constructed by means of a wide class of fuzzy connectives
