Abstract
In this paper, we present a dual-path delta-sigma modulator (DSM) which is especially effective when a digital correlation algorithm is used to correct the DAC errors. Unlike the dynamic element matching methods, this correction algorithm is over-sampling-ratio (OSR) independent. It can accurately extract the nonlinear error of each DAC unit element, and cancel these errors in the digital domain. An efficient and economical circuit configuration of this novel structure has been found and is discussed in the paper
