Abstract
The problem of designing a controller that stabilizes each of several plants P, P/sub i1/, . . ., P/sub iK/, where P represents the normal plant and P/sub j/ (j=i1, . . ., ik) represents the same plant under the jth sensor failure condition. A sufficient condition for the existence of a controller possessing integrity against some permissible sensor failures is obtained. On the basis of this sufficient condition, a design procedure of such a controller is proposed. The procedure can be used to deal with the problem of designing controllers with integrity for both multi-input and unstable plants.<>
