  • Abstract
This article adopts the Primary Energy Ratio (PER) to evaluate the performances of air conditioning heat and cold sources (refrigerator/ electric heat pump, LiBr absorption unit, gas air conditioning unit and boiler) and compares different Heat and Cold Sources in building Air Conditioning. The result shows that air conditioning unit driven by electrical power is most suitable for the places with sufficient supply of electrical power; Gas air conditioning unit can be used to reduce the peak electric demand where peak of electricity web is great but gas supply is good; Single effect LiBr absorption unit is used only when waste heat is available; where district heating is commonly used but gas supply is not enough, the centralized regional heating is the best choice; while Electric boiler is not recommended as an air conditioning heat source.
