Abstract
This paper discusses the modification of an existing LAN technology to provide Internet access on residential and business telephone lines. A data over voice method is used to allow simultaneous voice and Internet access on the same telephone line. Advantages to the customer and to the operating telephone company are discussed and the implementation of a hardware field trial is presented
