Abstract
IPL is a declarative distributed language designed to support application level programming in the InterBase project. This paper presents the IPL language and shows how it support flexible transactions, mixed transactions, time-constrained transactions and other features. Besides its transaction-oriented features, IPL can be used as a general purpose distributed programming language
