Abstract
Marine renewable energy sources are crucial alternatives for a sustainable development. Egypt comprises around 3000 kilometers of sea coasts with different conditions. This article presents a brief research plan for establishing a technological and industrial foundation for making use of wave energy in Egypt. Remarks were conducted in order to present the significant role and benefits of such cost effective researches in the preliminary phases of introducing the wave energy to the Egyptian market.
