Abstract :
Granite is an acidic stone material. It is hard, dense and wear-resistant, and can fully play the role of wedge between aggregate and aggregate. However, it has a poor adhesion with asphalt and the asphalt membrane around its surface is easy to go off under the water function. In this paper, a new optimal water boiling method-extending the boiling time and observing the peeling rate of asphalt membrane is used to evaluate the effect of different anti stripping measures on adherence between granite and asphalt. The results show that hydrated lime, cement and anti-stripping agent can obviously improve the adherence of granite with asphalt and can effectively prevent the asphalt peeling from the granite surface. Besides, the contact angle tests indicate that the asphalt mixed with anti-stripping agent has a better adhesion with granite than that not mixed with anything.
