Abstract
Presents a new antenna diagnostic technique from only near field amplitude measurements which overcomes various drawbacks while retaining the positive features of the square amplitude based approach. The presented technique is based on two independent sets of intensity data obtained by exploiting two different probes on a single scanning surface and thus does not require an increase in the measurement time and the anechoic chamber size. A planar scanning geometry, a planar source and a scalar case, are considered, although the approach can be applied to a vectorial case and a different geometry.
