Abstract :
With the ever-increasing needs of mobile communications, the frequency band of 2 GHz will substitute VHF and UHF. The predication of path-loss is an essential part of mobile communication network planning in urban areas. A method which can simply and efficiently predict the path-loss is still scarce. Although there is some software using the ray tracing technique to calculate the field intensity, it consumes a lot of time in calculating point by point during the early stage of planning. In this paper, a large amount of field distribution data calculated by using software developed at Southeast University are utilized to draw some conclusions.
