  • Abstract
This paper discusses both the development and implementation of long-term performance assessment of bridges based on structural health monitoring (SHM) system. The benefits and indexes of long-term SHM on bridges and innovative SHM technology are introduced respectively. And then four key issues towards this topic in the future are proposed in this paper.
