Abstract :
In this paper a fuzzy incremental controller is proposed for higher order converter topology, 3rd order buck converter. Main advantage of the proposed converter is the input source current is smooth and exhibits lower ripple current/ EMI. As the converter is of higher order nature controller parameters tuning is a difficult task in conventional design and hence an adaptive controller, fuzzy PI type controller, is proposed in this paper. Fuzzy PI tuning factors selection is discussed and then total closed- loop regulated converter system is simulated in SIMULINK using fuzzy logic tool box. Experimental results, obtained using dSPACE, are given for validating the proposed concept and simulations.
