Abstract :
A self-isolated, high-side, intelligent power switch (IPS) for the PWM controls of automotive solenoids has been developed. It fits in a small outline 8-pin (SO-8) package and monolithically integrates vertical power MOSFETs with advanced high-speed driving- and protection-circuits. This IPS reduces the mounting area of the printed-circuit-boards and provides improved power- and temperature-cycling reliability
