Abstract

An experiment was planned as part of a large regional study to acquire a time series of Priroda satellite observations in conjunction with soil moisture and other important ground and meteorological observations. This was a component of the Southern Great Plains 1997 Hydrology Experiment. Results of this part of the investigation were expected to provide important information for algorithm development for future long term missions involving the AMSR instrument. Due to platform problems during the experiment, only a very limited set of data was obtained. Preliminary results and plans for analysis are described
