Abstract :
High performance vector control strategies for single-phase induction motors (SPIMs) have already been reported based on field oriented control (FOC) and direct torque control (DTC). This paper investigates a new aspect of vector control for the low power segment based on motional electromotive force (MEMF). It is quite insignificant to point out the decoupling nature between flux and the MEMF, but important to say that they can be the tools for vector control. The model for the proposed vector control strategy is presented along with the results of simulation.
