Abstract
Education in ethnic minority area not only passes on knowledge but also propagates and inherites ethnic minority culture. Curriculum resource can be used as a connection between textbook knowledge and propagating and inheriting ethnic minority culture, which can implement the two goals. On the other hand, humanity property of information technology requires information technology teaching to combine knowledge with local culture. So, constructing curriculum resource database based on ethnic minority culture resources in ethnic minority area is a key in information technology teaching, where metadata of the curriculum resource, that describes the characteristics of ethnic minority culture, is the core. In the paper, we discuss the relation between ethnic minority culture and information technology teaching. Furthermore, based on Chinese e-Learning Technology Standards(CELTS), we discuss how to add the information characteristics of ethnic minority culture to it in order that teacher can use the curriculum resource database based on ethnic minority culture better and conveniently.
