Research on planning and designing of the residential space in inner mongolian grassland herdsmen settlement no.1

This thesis is the first part of the project by National Natural Science Foundation of China. The study aims to summarize the characteristics of their residential space at different times, and to discover its developing pathway and its model. With the Scientific Outlook on Development as the guiding principle and studies of habitat environment its theoretical basis, the article, combines with planning design practice, after comparison, induction and analysis, aims to construct "the basic herdsmen resident cell in grassland" and to discover the appropriate residential space mode for prairie herdsmen in their settlements.
