Abstract :
Electrical Power is the lifeline of the developing human society. It can be generated both from conventional and non-conventional means. But a huge reduction in the resources for conventional means of energy generation has posed a great threat to the prosperity of mankind and has led to the search for alternative resources. The Photovoltaic Module provides a very convenient solution to the problems of energy shortage. The Photovoltaic Module generates power as per its rated specifications. But at times we do need regulated output power as per the load connected to the module. In this paper, we present the means and demonstrate the experimental set up to obtain a regulated power supply from a photovoltaic module with the help of a charge regulatory circuit. The regulated power supply has been used to operate a DC Load connected to the photovoltaic module. This method of charge regulation provides good results.
