Ecologism is a kind of trend of thought occurred in early 1970s, which is quite activity and developed fast. The trend shocked the politic of capitalism country in Europe and America. Attention on the social and political reason of natural ecology, it has many derivatives, ecovillage is one of them. As a kind of community aimed of social and ecological sustainable development, the EV design follows the factor of ecologism in many kinds of means. By making analysis of ecologism background of ecovillage design, the author studies deeply of ecovillage design, in order to understand this kind of sustainable community factually through a new point of view.
