Abstract :
Sound radiating from rail transit bridges is a kind of low frequency noise causing annoyance and stress to residents nearby. It may become the dominant noise component when wheel-rail noise is well mitigated. The empirical, analytical and numerical methods that have been developled to predict and control the structure-borne noise from rail transit bridges are reviewed and assessed.
