Abstract :
In this paper, a new method for fitting horizontal alignment in old highway based on MATLAB and CAD platform was put forward. A method called "trend discrimination approach on the curvature of Three-point" was introduced for judging the horizontal alignment the measuring point belong to quickly, and the MATLAB Curve Fitting Toolbox was used to fit straight line segment. Besides, M files were edited respectively by quote the "Three Classical Algorithm" to achieve the curve fitting. On the basis of this, the resolve of transition curve parameters was implemented by using geometric relationships and transition curve characteristic functions.
