Abstract
IPTV is sought to be one of attraction contents for broadband network or its diffusion drive while the situation of physical faculties, network coverage, speed, and competition situation are so different area by area while the business model for this service is not always profitable. So we analyse the condition of IPTV business based on Michel Porterpsilas five-force model. The major factors for promoting its diffusion are followings: 1) regulatory framework of property rights and media communications, 2) bargaining power of contents provider/aggregators, 3) competitive servicers (cable, satellite, or video rental shops.) or potential entrants, and 4) marketing strategy of communication carriers, 5) customerspsila demand. We found that IPTV is an aggregated service of live streaming and video-on-demand now. And the business conditions for these two services are different so that diffusion rate for them also different.
