Abstract :
In the paper, the advanced H-Infinity optimization control theory is applied to a new type principal- auxiliary arc-suppression coil (ASC) based on active filter technology. The H-Infinity standard control block diagram and the state space expression of model matching system are given. The auxiliary ASC composes of a single-phase shunt voltage source inverter (VSI), which produces little harmonics and automatically compensates the grounding capacity current with rapid response in a wide range. By injecting the active current, it realizes the full component of the earth-fault current. In this paper, the work principle of the new device, and a combinational compensation mode of presetting mode and following-setting mode are analyzed in detail. A continuous time H-Infinity controller is also designed which achieves all performances and robustness properties required. The results of the computer simulation and 10 kV physical simulation experiments prove the validity of our approach.
