  • Abstract
    A deep treatment on purification of effluent of second treatment for rural domestic sewage in Chongming-Island by enhanced ecological floating raft was performed. Microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus in fiber padding of enhanced ecological floating raft was measured using the chloroform fumigation incubation method, and variation characteristic of the microbial biomass content in time and space was studied. The results showed that in the same season microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen in forepart was greater than in posterior segment and in lower layer than in upper layer, while phosphorus content has the same law with carbon and nitrogen in transverse direction and the opposite law in longitudinal direction; In different season microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus contents were highest in July and were similar in the other seasons. Microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen contents were respectively higher than background value by 2.21-9.26 times and 1.93-8.12 times.
