Research on the health monitoring for long span bridge in China

Health monitoring is playing an increasingly important role with the rapid development of long span bridge. This paper introduces the definition, basis, monitoring contents and system components of the health monitoring for long span bridge at first, and then analyze the current methods commonly used in bridge health monitoring. Finally, probe the current problems of the health monitoring for long span bridge in China.
