Abstract :
The space charge distributions of different ZnO varistors have been investigated using pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method in this paper. There were 8 kinds of ZnO varistors samples sintered under 4 different sintering temperatures with two formulas. According to the experimental results, it was found that there is space charge distribution when the sample is applied with a DC voltage, and the space charge distribution has some relationship with sintering temperature of ZnO varistor. When there is the same DC current in samples, the sample sintered under a higher sintering temperature has lower space charge distribution. This is helpful for understanding the performance of ZnO varistor based on the space charge distribution view.
