Abstract
The intra-body communication method attracted more attention since the development of ubiquitous communication. IBC is the technology to use the human body as communication transmission channel and the exchanges of information can be realize more naturally, easily and safely. This paper proposes a new application to recognize the finger movement by using intra-body communications that we call finger identification scheme. Finger identification scheme aims to detect the finger being used when a person is using touch panel devices. Performance has been evaluated by experiments and each finger was able to be distinguished by using a detection method that we have named power time difference detection, where the finger detection is performed based on the difference in time and power of the electromagnetic signals propagating through the body. From this result, using power time difference detection method, it is possible to confirm in the receiver side which finger is being used reliably.
