The evaluation to regional development efficiency of software industry in China

As the important supporting product, software and the extensive use of its follow-up services play an active role in promoting industrial development mode changing and economic restructuring. China´s software industry maintains smooth operation in the overall trend and the industry scale continues to grow. Through the measuring of comprehensive efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency, the software industry development efficiency in China´s 29 provincial administrative areas regions has been evaluated with DEA as the tool. Combining software industry statistics data and DEA projection analysis, the paper discussed efficiency level, distribution, the efficiency improving focus of backward area and the role of national software base. Meanwhile the difference in regional software development efficiency has been analysis in-depth.
