Abstract
The study aims to establish medical staff satisfaction evaluating system of sound environment in hospital waiting areas so as to provide a guide for the acoustical design of hospital. The system contains 37 items selected from 3 factors, and the survey has been completed by secret way on the spot. The important results are shown as follows: three main factors are got including subjective feelings for sound from inside hospital, subjective feelings for sound from outside hospital, and the evaluation of medical staff to sound environment. The Cronbach´s a coefficients of three factors and the pre-scale are 0.931, 0.951, 0.729 and 0.938 respectively. Construct validity also supports validity. Finally, 15 items are selected to enter the formal scale.
