Abstract
By judiciously combining symmetries in magnetooptic systems with PhC resonances strong unidirectional band gaps can be created. This allows for ultracompact one-way mirrors and deflectors. Magnetoplasmonic extraordinary transmission systems can likewise be made strongly unidirectional by combining slit resonances with SPP resonances.
