Abstract :
The electrokinetic remediation technique of soil contaminated by heavy metal lead was researched by means of experiments in this paper, and the characteristic and mechanism for distribution and migration of lead were analyzed too. The experimental results indicated that the concentrations of heavy metal changed obviously in soil in electric field and most of the heavy metal pollutants could be enriched and removed in the vicinity of electrodes. And the pH value in the vicinity of electrodes in soil affected the migration effect of the heavy metal. The removal efficiency of lead in the soil of vicinity of positive electrode was 62.24% when the experimental voltage was 0.5V/cm. And the removal efficiency of lead in the soil of vicinity of positive electrode increased obviously and reached 79.03% by adding EDTA solution with a concentration of 0.01 mol/L in the polluted soil. The pH value closing to the positive electrode changed from 6.5 in initial stage to 3.7 at later stage, and the pH value was on the contrary closing to the negative electrode, namely, changed from 6.7 in the beginning to 10.3 in the last, which made known that the condition of acidity and alkalinity in soil changed clearly during the process of the electrokinetic remediation.
