All innovations in the Architectural design field are triggered and pushed by the architect´s innovative thinking. Architectural design innovative thinking is not only the source of architect´s innovation, but also the necessary for survival. Through the analysis of the five characteristics on architectural design innovative thinking, namely reflection, transcendence, practice, relativity and dialectics, this article strives to grasp the essence of architectural design innovative thinking and seeks the direction of Chinese architects´ rise.
