Abstract
This paper proposes a new combined adaptive space-time minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) receiver in asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS/CDMA) system which uses an adaptive antenna array followed by an adaptive filter to suppress co-channel interference in the near far environment in both the space and the time domains. It is shown that using an adaptive antenna array improves the performance and capacity of the existing single-antenna MMSE receiver.
