Abstract :
Coupled integral equations using the moment method are applied to calculate the backscattering by a finite periodic array of perfect conductors on a finite dielectric slab. The backscattering is calculated in terms of the radar cross section (RCS) of a 3/spl times/3 frequency selective surface (FSS) array. The software is verified by the published data. Simulation results are compared with those obtained by commercial software for a conducting array on an infinite dielectric slab. The influence of finite dielectric slab is also discussed.
