Abstract :
A formulation for the sequential determination of equivalent magnetic current components over a plane from cylindrical surface electric field data is presented. An optimization method is used to obtain each component of the equivalent current. Its application to near field-far field transformation is presented. The method is also directly applicable to near field-far field transformation, allowing the calculation of 3D antenna pattern by the source representation of the antenna under test from cylindrical surface-near field data.
