The New York High Line Park is a sky garden located on Manhattan\´s West Side. After being disused for nearly 30 years, the dedicated rail line is now open as a public park. It is evaluated as one of "The Ten Most Positive Architectural Events of 2009" in USA. On the background of the conception changes of industrial heritage protection and reusing, the design method and operation model of New York High Line Park is analyzed in this paper. The recognition of industrial heritage protection has developed from artists\´ early obscure exploration to a global concern. The protection and development model has expanded from single art field to ""Landscape Urbanism", which is a new subject fusion mechanism.
