Abstract :
With the increasing transport demand, the flight separation standard is required to be reduced in order to enhance airspace capacity. The control method is also required to be changed to increase the operation efficiency. Firstly, the EVENT model was improved, the definition of the separation line is introduced in view of radar separation. Then, the model of horizontal radar separation is established based on the improved EVENT model. Finally, the model can be verified using the actual foreign flight data. The collision risk corresponding to the target level of safety can be obtained and the method is safe and feasible. It provides a new way to study horizontal radar separation.
