Abstract :
This paper describes a study that seeks to improve our understanding of the process of deep ocean convection in the Labrador Sea through analysis of ERS-2 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. Analysis of ERS-2 SAR imagery provides unique information on the surface spatial characteristics of the convective process, which is unattainable using more traditional in situ oceanographic sampling
