Abstract
Bell Atlantic believes that the intelligent network is the platform which will enable a holistic service approach to a customer´s needs. Service operators worldwide can provide a holistic view of services to their customers for their media network communications. Past media services have been provided to the customer over unique networks with similar user requirements but very different user interfaces. These networks have been highly dependent on technology restrictions, such as, protocols and infrastructure. This presentation discusses the use of object oriented technology within intelligent networks to develop an architecture that achieves a holistic customer interface so that a customer perceives their telecommunication capabilities as one service rather than a multiplicity of individual services
