Abstract :
A simulation model of cruising taxi operation system is presented. Vacant taxis cruise in the city to search for passengers, and their search strategies are based on drivers´ experience and information. The impacts of dynamic traffic flow and signals are taken into consideration through a cell transmission model. These are helpful for regulating urban taxi operation system more efficiently and providing better service.
