  • Abstract
    Satellite synthetic aperture radars (SARs) produce an abundance of data. The usefulness of such data and other remote sensing data depend upon the ability to convert satellite information into geophysical measurements and to integrate such data with other sources of information. StormWatch is an effort to perform such a synthesis in the context of attempting to produce high spatial resolution maps of wind speed from the Radarsat SAR. This paper presents the progress thus far in producing such data synthesis. The authors have been able to routinely receive and process both model and satellite data and integrate and display the results uniformly in the StormWatch Region.
