Abstract :
An effective and simple inverter for an arc welding machine is proposed in this paper. In order to lower the output ripple current efficiently, a current double rectifier can be used to solve the problem. However, the lower inductance of the current double rectifier can reduce the larger voltage spike when the output current goes alternately. Besides, the turn numbers of the main transformer in the proposed scheme is also lower than the conventional structure. At last, the output current will reach to 100-A to implement an arc welding machine in reality.
