Abstract :
In this paper, an intelligent CAD system which is applied to the scheme design of machining center (MC) has been developed successfully. The key techniques of the intelligent CAD system, such as the system structure, scheme design knowledge representation, building and classifying function modules and imported data structures are described in detail. An example of the scheme design for a drilling MC is given
