Abstract
Lean combustion and EGR were investigated on the performance and emissions of a four cylinder gasoline engine in part load. The results revealed that the ISFC and NOx emissions could be reduced by EGR and lean combustion. Considering the infections on combustion, lean combustion was better than EGR.
