Abstract :
Based on the FEM, we chose 4 typical working conditions called horizontal bending, limited torsion, bending and torsion, and impact load, and analysed the frame´s static and dynamic characteristics by using OptiStruct to get the results of structural stress, stiffness and the first ten free modals. According to the results, we constructed the mathematical optimization model and FEM for size optimization, and optimized the frame´s thickness. Through the optimal dates, we checked the dynamic and static characteristics to validate the feasibility. Thus, we realize lightweight design requirements of this all-terrain vechicle´s frame.
