Abstract :
Circularly polarized antennas with large bandwidth, small size and which are compatible with microwave and millimeter, MIC, and monolithic, MMIC, integrated circuits are desired qualities for many current and future civilian/military applications. This article presents the theoretical results of a microstrip circular Archimedean spiral antenna fed by proximity coupling from an embedded microstrip feedline within the substrate. The antenna system design produces a completely planar antenna system.
