Abstract
Leading-edge project management is about engineering high-powered answers to the following questions. How will we structure our process? What software should we install to fully support the process? How will we synergize our project organizations? What management methods and metrics will we need? What type of organizational culture will we need to build? And what competencies will our people need to play this kind of project management game? Our experience suggests that such questions have received too little attention in many companies. This paper considers such questions and helps project managers to visualize standardized project management (SPM) and, having visualized it, create it. Some case studies are included
