Abstract
We present a safety application using wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE) as vehicle-to-vehicle communications and it assists vehicular intersection movement in at an unsignalized intersection. If there would be a crash situation expected by the proposed algorithm, it can provide warning messages to a driver. WAVE was used in our system as a vehicular communication protocol proposed by IEEE 802.11WG and P1609. We tested this system in a proving ground. As test results, the performance was shown as success rates of 100%.
