Abstract :
A new fast and accurate method for estimating the frequency of a complex sinusoid in complex white Gaussian environments is proposed. Inspired by the works of Kay and Kim et al., the method is based on the differential phase measurements with an arbitrary delay. This approach is different from the Kim et al. method and needs much less computational operations, yet produces very comparable performance. The estimator is suitable for applications requiring high speed and high accurate frequency estimation. Simulation results are included to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method
